Details: Created by 10-time Latin Grammy winner Javier Limón, The Paco de Lucía Project reassembles the original band that toured with the legendary flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía for the last 10 years of his career. The Paco de Lucía Project is part of TO Live’s Jazz at the George Series for is one performance only.

Paco de Lucía was widely considered to be the world’s premier flamenco guitarist and by many to be Spain’s greatest musical export.  He has had a revolutionary influence on flamenco music both as a composer and legendary performer. Throughout his 50 year career, he performed and recorded with musical legends such as Eric Clapton, Chick Corea, Carlos Santana and Al Di Meola among many others.

The acclaimed sextet features Paco’s nephew Antonio Sánchez (guitar), Israel Suárez “Piraña” (percussion), Alain Pérez (bass), Antonio Serrano (harmonica), David de Jacoba (vocals) and Antonio Fernández Montoya “Farruco” (dance).  The talented, combustible mix of wisdom and power was best captured in the 2010 double CD Paco de Lucía En Vivo – Conciertos: Live in Spain. Paco de Lucía died unexpectedly of a heart attack in Mexico on February 25, 2014. He was 66.
