Details: Still wowing them on Broadway, the 2010 Tony-Award Winner for Best Musical, Memphis will blow the roof off the Toronto Centre for the Arts, beginning December 6, for a limited run until Christmas eve! The North American tour of Memphis will make its one and only Canadian stop in Toronto, presented by Dancap Productions, one of the Tony Award-winning producers.

Inspired by actual events and the life of Memphis DJ Dewey Phillips, Memphis tells the story of a young white radio DJ who wants to change the world, and a beautiful young black a club singer who is ready for her big break. From the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis, Tennessee, comes a hot new Broadway musical that bursts off the stage with explosive dancing, roof-raising music, and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love.
