Renowned for presenting an impressively wide range of folk/roots artists, the Mariposa Folk Festival (July 6-8, 2012) is a three-day music experience set in Tudhope Park, Orillia on the shores of Lake Couchiching.
The festival is a weekend full of entertainment with nine stages and 100+ performances of music, dance and spoken word. And there’s more … you can roam through the Artisan’s Village, participate in interactive workshops or enjoy a beer while listening to music at the Mariposa Pub Tent. Also, children can participate in the magic of Folkplay and watch fun concerts on the Sunshine Stage. And you won’t go hungry – from Jamaican jerk to burgers and pizza there’s a wide variety of foods to sample!
