Details: Now in its 40th year, Canadian Music Week (CMW) is Canada’s leading annual entertainment event dedicated to the expression and growth of the country’s music, media and entertainment industries. Combining multifaceted information-intensive conferences; a trade exposition; awards shows and the nation’s largest new music festival which spans 6 nights of performances with hundreds of bands at dozens of live music venues in downtown Toronto. The CMW Conference (June 7-10) takes place at the InterContinental Toronto Centre.

Hip hop legend Chuck D of the group Public Enemy will receive the Social Justice Honours Award, and appear for a keynote interview, at the CMW Music Summit on June 9 at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel as part of the 40th Anniversary event.
